About This Course

This qualification is designed for public sector professionals who need to prevent, detect and respond
to fraud and corruption risks. You will develop practical skills to support fraud control frameworks,
apply ethics and legislation, and contribute to safer, more accountable government programs.

Who Should Do This Course?

PSP40316 – Certificate IV in Government Security (Fraud Control) is ideal for staff who work in or
with government programs and need to understand and apply fraud control requirements in their role.

Ideal Candidates Include

  • APS and state/territory employees working in fraud control, compliance, audit or investigations
  • Contractors performing Commonwealth or state/territory program delivery or regulatory roles
  • Team leaders and specialists responsible for implementing fraud control policies and raising awareness

Course Structure & Packaging Rules

Total: 14 units = 3 core + 11 electives

You must complete 1 Work Health & Safety elective and
a minimum of 6 electives from Group C (Fraud Control). Remaining electives can be
selected from Groups B/D or other approved units at the same AQF level, in line with PSP40316
packaging rules.

Entry Requirements

  • No formal prerequisites apply to PSP40316 at the time of publication and licensing is not
    required for this qualification.
  • Relevant workplace access or public-sector experience is recommended. Completion of related
    PSP qualifications such as Certificate IV in Government Investigation or
    PSP50416 Diploma of Government Investigation (or similar) is beneficial.
